Food made out of wood was initially a little different than plastic or metal, but I've gotten used to it. I have found them very useful when cooking in the kitchen. You can leave them in the pot and they won't get hot. You can also stir things that were in teflon pans. Plastic melts in it, but metal can't be used - so they worked perfectly. I thought it was good value for money and would buy it again.
