A big hit for Christmas dinner. If the smell bothers you, I would recommend leaving it on for a few hours. I was concerned about some of the reviews so I took mine out of the box this morning. No taste or smell of wood.

Food made out of wood was initially a little different than plastic or metal, but I've gotten used to it. I have found them very useful when cooking in the kitchen. You can leave them in the pot and they won't get hot. You can also stir things that were in teflon pans. Plastic melts in it, but metal can't be used - so they worked perfectly. I thought it was good value for money and would buy it again.

This is normal. Definitely more novel than practical. They look cool and will definitely add pizzazz to your event. Pros: You look great. They will definitely be the highlight of any event.
