First of all, you should know that massage electrodes such as TENS or STIM/EMS are used. If you haven't used this before I don't know if I can suggest this will be your first encounter with it. This can cause tingling, discomfort, or anxiety in some users. So it's best when you're first starting out with a large muscle group. Also, do not use it if your body is equipped with electronics such as a pacemaker. Unlike most TENS machines, it doesn't use sticky electrode pads, so you'll need to "stick" the skin with either water or lotion to allow the electrodes to make good contact (otherwise you could get an arc tingle or no massage at all). . I personally prefer this as it keeps the device clean and is easy to keep clean without dirtying or wearing out the consumables. I tried it with no water on my neck and although I still felt it, it took me a much higher level and at times it felt like static tingling. I've found that a simple flick of a wet hand or towel across the neck maintains a good connection for a 15 minute session. It really helped me relax tight, sore neck muscles without doing more damage. This increased my range of motion, looking left and right before the tightness and pain showed. And unlike shiatsu, pressure, or percussive neck massagers (all of which I've used and still use), this has no way of aggravating or injuring my sore neck muscles any more because there's no external force being applied. While my neck was raging I used it on level 8 about 3 times a day, although I believe they recommend using up to twice a day. It folds up nice and compact and easy to take with you anywhere. The battery lasts for days between charges, even with heavy use, and I love that they chose USB-C for charging (cable included but no outlet). Overall I have to give it 5 stars for lightness, portability and value for money. Maybe better? Of course. I would like to widen the electrodes a bit so they reach a bit more on the sides of my neck where the main pain point is (this would also make the heating function more useful), but it still makes a difference even without being right on the main square . It would also be nice if it remembered your intensity level between modes, but I'm almost always in the first Auto-Massage mode and it's not hard to press the +8 button very quickly.
