Review on Fluke 101 Multimeter Equipment Industrial by Shawn Mortensen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great gauge but with a WARNING - no fuse

I am retired Elec Field Eng. and i just needed to know about the fuse so i took it apart? Pros: Great little gauge, it's Chi.Na. Fluke, but fluke nonetheless. I did some voltage comparisons on my $300 Fluke and it's accurate. Great for $50. Comes with quality Fluke cables, even batteries pre-installed. Cons: Wires come out from below. ? Good and bad, but you know before you buy it. NO FUSE so I'm pretty sure it's NOT SOLD in the US, sell the hologram. NO FUSE, I'm pretty sure it's NOT UL certified. NO WARRANTY in the US. If you want an American Fluke with a fuse, get the Fluke 106 (non-illuminated), 107 (illuminated) or the better choice of inexpensive Fluke Model 117B+ gauge, more features, even a temperature sensor.
