They won't stay afloat

Everything about this toy is great EXCEPT they won't stay afloat. Eventually the water seeps in and they drown. I don't like bath toys where water gets stuck inside and mold/bacteria can grow. Not sure. In addition, constant winding disturbs the fun of the game.
