I wanted something to keep my hair our of the way of my face, and also keep the sun off the back of my neck. I have a shortish layered cut and it can be difficult to tuck stray strands back into the padding of my helmet. This works well and is comfortable in coastal summer weather. I'd like it to fit a little more snugly but it is a good balaclava for the price.
