NOT WORKING!: A/V Accessory

I bought this for the TV in the guest room. When I first tried it it seemed lighter than my original, it worked but I had to hold the keys longer I thought "good enough, with more use it should be fine". And then a month later it just doesn't work no matter how long I press it and I even changed the months old batteries and nothing has changed. And of course I can't get it back now 😠
