Review on 🔪 King 01096 Deluxe Combination Stone: The Ultimate Sharpening Solution by Sean Davis

I ordered my King 01096 1000/6000 Grit Deluxe combination stone at the beginning of April 2020 and it arrived 2 weeks later slightly damaged (stone had flaked off). I was very upset as the stone arrived a little later than advertised and was damaged. I also found out that the temporary sale was stopped, which meant I had to pay extra if I tried to redeem the product again. Instead I decided to contact the seller directly and ask for a replacement of the damaged stone. B&B Japan is the most responsive Revain supplier I have ever dealt with. When they saw a photo of the damage their first response was that they would immediately ship a new one direct from the factory which should arrive within the next 2-3 weeks. The new stone arrived on time and in perfect condition. I even offered to ship the damaged stone back if they provided a shipping label but they insisted it wasn't necessary. In the end it suited me as I now have 2 places to store the stone and this is perfect. The product works exceptionally well and is a reasonable price for such a high quality product. If you are new to knife sharpening, I would suggest that you first purchase a sharpening kit to learn how to sharpen. Or you can sharpen a set of cheap knives so you don't damage your good set of knives. In the beginning it can be difficult to sharpen at the right angle. After this experience I would never buy a whetstone from any other seller again and highly recommend using B&B Japan for all knife care needs.
