So far, so good. I was pleased with the quality of the filter housing, apparently it's solidly made. I love that it came with extra fittings, a small quarter inch drain hose (could be a few feet longer), etc. I bought a 3/4" male NPT and was sweating on both sides of my mains. I use well water and am constantly changing my 10 inch whole house filter. I use cheap spin filters because I change them every two weeks. I'm starting with a 200 micron filter to use as a pre-filter for the whole house and hope this will extend the life of the whole house filters. I run all of this in front of my water softener which is over thirty years old and still works. I believe filtering the water before the softener has greatly increased the life of this unit.
