I installed this in my two car garage at a height of 8-9 feet (10-12-19) and replaced one lightbulb with a 60 watt. I liked the idea of just unscrewing the lightbulb and screwing this device into the same outlet, no extra work, wiring etc. WOW, that's bright! I light the entire back half of my garage. I have another lightbulb socket in the front half of my two car garage and I can do the same thing but I guess I don't need it! Light, it interferes with my stereo that I use in my garage. I noticed a lot of interference that sometimes occurs when reception isn't very good, but it was louder than usual. When I turned off the light, the noise went away. And of course it was light. Not that big of a problem - it's better to have that much light!
