My truck sometimes won't start and spark plugs get fouled with fuel. After googling my symptoms they seem to fail on dodge trucks and the first thing that comes up is suspicious and my old one definitely looked old, rusty and had metal plates on it. It's too early to say if this solved my problem as it was sporadic, but one thing I can attest to is that my truck fired up as soon as the starter kicked in before it took several buttons. And it certainly won't hurt to change it no matter what. The screws were very difficult to get out as they are Phillips and rusty. I soaked them in WD40 and pryed them out with vise pliers, after that it all went downhill.
