There the customer is also instructed to remove the plastic wrap - a statement I've embellished (no pun intended). So when I opened the package - nicely packaged by the way - and saw that the parts were very matte, I was a bit disappointed because the picture looks nice and shiny. As I unfolded it, I noticed a tiny piece of plastic sticking out and realized there was a protective coating. The downside was that it was very difficult to remove - I had to use my exacto knife very carefully on it several times. The benefit of this shortcoming, however, is that the packaging is very well made and very protective. And it really shines and shines. And it really takes up less space. And pens, pencils and brushes fit perfectly and stay in place more than ever. Even the bottom is recessed to keep pins in place. My only two suggestions for improvement are some kind of coating on the screws so they don't scratch my beautiful wooden table when I move it; and somehow it's really tedious to have a pivoting holder, you know when to turn it by pushing and moving it. Good product at a reasonable price and yes I would recommend it. Not five stars because the jury is out and I'm waiting to see how it holds up. Even if my expectations are high.
