I really liked the idea of extending the helmet lock. It seemed like a simple accessory that would allow me to use a bike helmet lock that wasn't available due to the panniers attached to the bike. However, I was disappointed to find that the extension wasn't long enough to block my helmet. to the bike. It needs to be at least half an inch longer for it to work. My bike is a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard and my bags are Viking Bags Suzuki Boulevard C50, VL800, Volusia side bag. (Maybe if I moved the pockets a little further back the lengthening would work, but I shouldn't bother with that.)
