Review on 🚙 Dorman 601-024 Trailer Brake Control Module for Ram | Prime Selection of Models by Duane Kerr

This module might be great, but it didn't work for me. I installed the module and switch as instructed. I then went to the dealership and flashed the truck to activate the trailer brake functions, then got a trailer disconnect light that came on when I didn't have a trailer connected. The light goes out when the trailer is connected and the brakes work, hence the 2 stars. I contacted Dorman about this because the vendor said it was usually a bad module in his experience. The Dorman tech said because it works when it's plugged in, it's just a software difference between the way they do it and the way Dodge does it. The tech then told me if I wanted to get rid of the light I would have to remove the Dorman module and put in the factory OEM module. Long story short, if you don't mind having a permanent operating light, this works great. Otherwise, spend another $90 and just get the factory one instead.
