Better than what I got in hospital after shoulder surgery. It was the best balance and support so it reduced my pain. I like that I can customize it. In my case, when the wrist dangles, the whole arm hurts. It's better than the really cheap one, but I had to wear a wrist brace to fully support my hand. There is a thumb loop that helps with this, but it still dropped my wrist too much for me. There is no rigid support to keep the arm in line. So if you have this problem, a support or pillow under the middle of the arm will help. maybe it is not necessary. The wide band around the neck is not very comfortable. It was too itchy for me and I had to wrap it in a bandana. So if you wear it for a long time or are picky, maybe buy a better one. Otherwise it's very good, it's better than the cheap ones you're likely to get at the hospital.
