I liked the idea of this sling

I liked the idea of this sling. The one I got from the doctor is awful - uncomfortable and no breathing. My arm is broken, I can't move much. I can't get into this strap on my own - the velcro that comes loose doesn't slide back through the pull tab easily - the two-handed man struggled to get it in there and the front strap isn't long enough for me to fasten it solve. Hooks over my head without moving my arm/shoulder. It also doesn't come off easily (which would be nice if there was a…

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Much better than "Basic Sling "

I broke my collarbone so I bought a $12 sling at the grocery store until I saw an orthopedist. Cheaply made, irritated my throat and TERRIBLE. After my appointment the doctor sent me to the local shop to get the best bandage I thought. What they had was as bad or worse than the grocery store model, and they wanted $30 that wasn't covered by insurance. I bought this sling and it arrived within a day and I've been wearing it ever since. It's comfortable, looks good (for a belt), is adjustable…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great sling at a great price!

I have a left rotator cuff injury before the operation and I have severe pain without a bandage. I am very happy with the quality and comfort of this carrier. Especially for the price! I find it breathable, soft and supportive. The neck strap has lots of padding. Some reviews mention that the strap is rough - the rough side comes out and not on the neck. The inner mesh pockets have a nice feel but are a bit small for my Android phone. The straps are easily adjustable for the perfect fit. This…

Too short, scratchy padding

Just had distal biceps tendon surgery. I am so disappointed that I am writing this with a good hand. First problem: too short/flat. I'm 5'10" and have trouble stretching this from my elbow to my wrist. Also, it only fits halfway into my splint/cast. This item is child sized. The second issue: the straps are twisted by threading the Buckle adjustable. Difficult if you use a good hand. Extremely bad design. The third problem is that the shoulder strap on the strap is made of fabric that scratches

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

No sleeping bag.

I bought this for my husband who had to have rotator cuff surgery thinking it would be more convenient than the one in the hospital. The problem is that the back, like the front, has a buckle that digs into his back if we lean it against the back of a chair. Since he has to sleep in a sling, he cannot sleep in it. I received an email from Vive Health. I came back to them with a problem. They offered to put foam rubber or a rag behind the buckle. It really doesn't work. It's normal if he leaves.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Comfortable, soft bandage

I bought two trial bandages to prepare for my shoulder surgery. I chose this because it was more convenient. Very soft material. I like the lightweight and quick release velcro that you can put on and take off while showering. There are also 2 internal pockets for carrying small items such as driver's license, credit card, etc. Due to my height (4ft 10") I had to make a few minor adjustments by shortening the straps. My husband also bought a fancy seat belt. Carrying case from the Auto Zone…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Good but can irritate the neck a bit

So I got hit by a car and had to put two plates in my wrist. Needless to say I will be in a bandage for several months and the hospital bandage hasn't cut it. I found the Vive sling online and loved the bag idea as I can no longer use my right side pockets. The pockets are actually very useful and fit in my wallet without falling out. I also put my pain meds in when I go about my business and have had no problems with them falling out. Now the sling itself is a soft, elastic material that fits…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Adjustable, balanced. Not exactly supportive and comfortable, but workable.

Better than what I got in hospital after shoulder surgery. It was the best balance and support so it reduced my pain. I like that I can customize it. In my case, when the wrist dangles, the whole arm hurts. It's better than the really cheap one, but I had to wear a wrist brace to fully support my hand. There is a thumb loop that helps with this, but it still dropped my wrist too much for me. There is no rigid support to keep the arm in line. So if you have this problem, a support or pillow…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
