I use this lens for astrophotography. It gives a fairly sharp image if you focus very carefully. To that end, I used the Sony A6500's focus assist to get the best bang for your buck. Focusing at infinity is a fraction of a turn away from the focus limiter. At f/1.2, ISO 200, a reasonable exposure for the night sky is around 15 seconds. I took 20 ARW and JPG images with the EQ drive. I assembled the ARW images in Sequator for the final TIFF image. I "massaged" the TIFF file for the final result. The only downside is the weight. That is hard.
