I'm sure it's unconventional, but we bought it.

I'm sure it's uncommon but we bought this remote alarm hoping it would scare away the squirrels that eat all our birdseed. IT WORKS OUT! We just put it in the feeding area and when the squirrel appears we press the remote control and they run away. Birds now get bird seed instead of squirrels. Since we put it outside when the weather is bad, we pack it in a zip-top sandwich bag and everything seems fine.
