I've had several moka type espresso makers over the years. As you may know, they make coffee nearly as strong as espresso from big expensive machines. The rather large bottom part contacts more of the burner that some other designs and it's more stable. It has worked perfectly for me. I don't have to screw down the top hard at all and there are no steam leaks. The accompanying cups are clunky with very thick walls. I may give them to Am Vets.
