Only 4 stars, does not snap but worked well on carpet and did not come loose when cleaning carpet. Not sure what purpose this serves, going over all your carpets, it doesn't really clean everything I can see. Perhaps the carpet would smell better if you sprayed some nice smelling detergent on the fabric, but I used it to remove a few stains from our dogs. There were shampoo stains on the carpet that the car wouldn't pick up. I sprayed the stains with one of those dog poop sprays first, let it sit for a few minutes, then placed the steamer directly on the stain and pumped to create copious steam. Then it was on to the carpet shampoo machine and wallet, the stains were gone. Worked great.
