My son is about 3 months old and can't jump yet but sits comfortably in it, loves looking at the colorful toys and smashing them right away. In terms of development, I think it's great when he gets a little older, I know he'll be more involved in activities. This is our second bouncy one, our first is very basic and doesn't have the ability to turn into an activity table. That's the great thing about him, once he outgrows the bouncy part it can easily be turned into a table for him where we can put his little toys and use him for at least 6-12 months. When it comes to an inflatable chair I would prefer it over most other brands because I can just keep using it after that stage and sometimes the kids aren't very interested in the activity, well at least it can be turned into a game table . Love this one, you can't go wrong. I'm happy to have it and can really recommend it!
