Review on Prestacycle Right Angle Quick Click2 Presta by Santiago Serrano

Doesn't work properly as a gauge head

This type of Presta head is just a rubber seal/sleeve and nothing else in the head. When you insert the Presta valve into this head, the Presta valve nut is caught and pushed by the rubber bushing, and then the bushing simultaneously seals the top of the valve stem. I think this might work well for inflation as the air pressure entering the valve keeps the valve sleeve and nut depressed. However, when using this Presta head on the pressure gauge, the valve nut will not remain depressed and the valve will close, making it impossible to read the tire pressure. I've had two different Presta head styles doing the same thing. This problem can be solved by having something in the Presta head that physically holds the valve nut down (open).

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Minor issues
