I thought I finally found an electric can opener to replace my favorite chef's Star Smooth Edge automatic electric can opener (which is larger not available), but when I tried to open a large can with my new Kitchen Mama One Touch electric can opener, it took me a few tries and opening sections before I finally got the lid off. But not being able to open a large can was just the beginning of my problems with this can opener. When I tried to open a regular sized vegetable can, it stalled twice the first time, so I restarted it. This time when it stopped I cut my finger on the spot left on the jar but the lid couldn't be removed. After stopping the bleeding and bandaging the cut finger, I started a third time, cutting the finger on the other hand again. I was going to throw this can opener in the trash but I'll be returning it instead. In case anyone asks, there was nothing wrong with either the large jar or the regular sized jar I attempted to open (ie no dents or defects).
