Not thick and not durable
Bought for my son to store his tools in. (He's 13 and uses them all the time) We love the design of the top shelves that protrude. Cons: Not as heavy metal as we hoped and after about 6 months one of the rivets for one of the cantilever brackets came loose. We have not abused the box but it is used several times a week but a real mechanic would not use it. It's still good for storing and carrying tools, but we're not thrilled with the quality.
