I installed this unit to replace an old unit that had malfunctioned. My installation was mounted on a plaster wall that is thicker than most. The included mounting post was too short for the included spacer. So I was forced to remove the spacer to make the screw fit. I think the mounting post should be half an inch longer. After installing the camera, I realized I needed more coverage directly under the camera. No matter what position I moved it to on the built-in camera mount, I couldn't get the coverage I wanted. I had to use a separate camera mount to get the best coverage. I recommend modifying the built-in mount to have a longer support rod and more flexibility to mount the camera face down rather than horizontally under the mount. Also, the connection cable should be longer or contain a longer camera connection cable to allow more flexibility in targeting desired areas. Finally, like most, I was surprised to see that there is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor or the duration of the light. The amount of light emitted by the device is more than adequate and the mount offers a lot of flexibility in adjusting where the light hits, including under the mount. The price was a lot higher than other units I've seen as they are a lot cheaper without sacrificing quality. Finally, it would be nice to have a detachable charging cable so the two cameras could be mounted on separate mounts for more coverage.
