Spacing and simplicity but wood glue required
Using only the materials provided will likely work for most needs if used infrequently. However, if you want it to last longer and be a lot sturdier, I highly recommend using wood glue for ALL the joints/dowels. I would even like to use wood glue on the parts that use screws. Installation was very easy, just make sure you plan all sides with holes in the middle. I had a bolt that ripped a little on the wood so I took the sprocket off but I stopped spinning and everything was fine. The overall clearance is great and it was perfect for my under shelf space.
