Probably good for the price

Not having variomatics I can't tell if they are good quality or not. What I can say is that they are not suitable for a standard fixed speed angle grinder. They hold up well to rotation, but they're not made to hold polish at these speeds, and it doesn't take long for the wheel to abruptly fall apart. The first "sharp" (and I use the term very vaguely) edge you hit with the wheel will result in catastrophic failure. Although you get a lot of stuff for the price. I wish I could be of use to them.
