Should have listened to other reviews

I've had this PSU for about a year now. Other reviewers are 100% accurate on the noise level and power curve of the PSU fan. It doesn't happen if it happened within the last 30-60 seconds, but after that you can reliably launch it: 1. Open a new app. Seems a little reasonable doesn't it? Just wait.2. Open a new tab in your browser. Okay, that's annoying.3. Scroll down the page to continue reading the article. wait what 4. Click and navigate between the applications you are currently using.5. Receive a system notification (new email, new text, upcoming calendar event, etc.).6. just do nothing After a few minutes of absolute idle, it works again. It's incredibly loud. It drowns out your music loudly. It's so loud I can hear it from my bedroom down the hall. Does the manual say it's only 36 decibels? But my dishwasher claims 42 decibels and that's a lot louder than a dishwasher. It's only 10-15 seconds, but because of the regularity, it's just unbearable to live with. Especially when you consider that I have otherwise built a silent system. I regret buying this power supply with everything I have in it. I also flagged it as not energy efficient. I can't imagine the fan constantly running at full power every minute or doing that good for the overall power of this system. I just can not. And I don't know how else to rate this, so go ahead, one star for that too.
