Terrible Simple Terrible for computers and accessories

This is the worst power supply I have ever used. It's quiet until you open the app, then the fans immediately rev up to 100%. Literally from 0 to 100%, no slow increase as needed, just 100%. It's annoying. If you put the computer under constant load, the fan (abruptly) jumps to 100% and a few seconds later goes back to the normal fan speeds of the other power supplies, which proves that it simply programmed the fan curves poorly. I don't know how the product ever passed the "maybe we should…

Good power supply, cheap cables.

The PSU itself was great. Quiet, durable and efficient. It's also surprisingly small. There's some density behind this, but I could probably build it into mATX if I tried. My problem is with cables. The tab on my 24-pin connector broke off for no reason. Lots of super glue and tape fixed the problem. Then I found out that the 8+4 CPU cables are only two inches shorter. I had to forego cables and just make a straight path from the basement to the CPU socket. This works, but now it means the pad…

  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Should have listened to other reviews

I've had this PSU for about a year now. Other reviewers are 100% accurate on the noise level and power curve of the PSU fan. It doesn't happen if it happened within the last 30-60 seconds, but after that you can reliably launch it: 1. Open a new app. Seems a little reasonable doesn't it? Just wait.2. Open a new tab in your browser. Okay, that's annoying.3. Scroll down the page to continue reading the article. wait what 4. Click and navigate between the applications you are currently using.5…

Titanium certified power supply at a great price

If you found this you probably already know that this power supply has a Titanium rating of 80+. The 80+ ratings are for PSU efficiency, and PSU efficiency is a HUGE factor in how much power your computer draws. Titanium is the highest rating, and while it includes a slight increase in required inefficiencies at 20%, 50%, and 100% of rated load compared to Platinum, the second highest rating, it also contains something not found in any other category . 80+: minimal efficiency. at 10% load. This

Son they don't make 'em like they used to

I once had a Silverstone Strider (we're talking ten years) in my original PC build (patched a few times now). During this decade, the old facility has undergone three major renovations and many, many modernizations, large and small. He kicked the donkey and wrote down names, eventually showing signs of possible instability. I can only give credit to failsafe devices that shut themselves down when something went wrong rather than frying my box or any components and I'm honored that the old PSU…
