UPDATE: The VIMGO DIRECT seller has responded to some issues I had with the projector so I'm adding a star to the rating. Many sellers don't answer post-sales questions, so this is a good sign that this seller is responsible for the products they sell.____________ This is the third projector I have owned. My previous projector was 720P with around 500 ANSI lumens. This projector is sharper and brighter than a projector, which is why I rate it at around 750 lumens. Text looks sharper and the contrast is definitely better than my previous projector, but you can still only use it in a very dimly lit room. Physically, the projector itself looks good and feels solid. The plastic used in the case is quite thick, making the projector heavy for its size. The user interface is decent - pretty basic, with icons. There are presets for color and tone modes with the ability to save custom settings. It is possible to rotate the screen if you need to mount the projector from the ceiling. You can digitally zoom the image down to 25% to fit your wall. Keystone correction is only vertical and limited to 15 degrees, so the projector should be centered horizontally on a wall/screen. Keystone correction is mostly useless when using the projector to display content with text and sharp lines, as text is smeared and duplicated, making it difficult to read. I really miss the 4-way keystone feature of my previous projector. It does not play 4K content! The projector was advertised as supporting 4K content when I bought it, but it didn't play 4K files from a USB drive - 1080P files played back just fine. I contacted the seller and he apologized and has since changed the description on the website. The project's internal speakers can get quite loud. It's not high-fidelity by any means, but it's enough to hear dialogue in a medium-sized room. There's no Bluetooth, but there is a headphone jack for connecting an external speaker. The fan is quite loud. When I use the Audio Levels app on my iPhone, the fan noise is around 49dB when it's a few feet from the projector. This isn't a problem with an action film, but it becomes annoying with a film without a lot of background music. Focusing is a bit difficult. The focus knob on top is stiff and the texture on the knob isn't deep enough, requiring you to poke your fingernail into the grooves to focus. When the screen is focused, the sharpness falls off a bit towards the corners and edges - this isn't too bad as you can still read slightly blurry text. This isn't a problem when you're watching a movie. There are two USB ports, but one is for connecting a tablet or phone for duplication. This worked well to mirror content from my iPad. The projector has wi-fi and it worked but sometimes lost the connection. This happened more often when you were projecting a photo slideshow instead of watching a video over Wi-Fi. Navigating to reconnect is not easy and requires a few clicks. I connected a Revain FireTV 4K stick via USB and it worked without any problems. First there was an issue where there was no sound when using FireTV - I had to go into the projector's audio options and disable surround sound. All in all a decent projector for the $140 I paid for it. I mainly use it to project images for the murals I paint and maybe sometimes to watch action movies. The biggest criticisms are the lack of a decent keystroke, fan noise and the inability to play 4K files from a USB stick.
