Review on Toshiba DVR620 Recorder Certified Refurbished by Bob Moonin

Against my better knowledge I bought this "certified refurbished" video recorder/DVD player. Refurbished means someone else's problem is now yours. I wanted to archive old VHS tapes. Insert the first cassette. It was played normally for about 5 minutes, the playback speed was accelerated at least 3 times compared to the normal speed. Nothing I've tried fixed the problem. I even called Toshiba support. I was on hold for 25 minutes. When I found someone they didn't have a solution but they suggested that "maybe the button is stuck". 5 minutes out of the box and the button is stuck? Don't get stuck, so go back. From now on only new.
