It works ! I use it to measure the temperature of soldering iron tip

This matches the work I did for this - soldering tip temp. I have a Weller WP-25 (25W) with a relatively low wattage and a maximum tip temperature of 400°C. I tested two of my tips and measured 395°C on one tip and 350°C on the other. So it does what I need. Stable readings at these temperatures are a bit slow to get - maybe 10-20 seconds - but I can live with that.
