Review on Imus Seal Butyl Joist Tape: Ultimate Waterproofing Solution for Flashing Deck Joists and Beams (1-5/8” x 50’) by Sean Spence

. We ordered 7 rolls of Imus to protect our deck frame as the wider 3 1/8" was not available from Revain we also purchased a roll of Trex Protect Beam Butyl Tape 3 1/8". As far as I can tell the two products are exactly the same except for the packaging pattern - the cellophane tape that secures the roll has the same tape pattern and cuts. Imus is cheaper too! As for the material itself, it's very trustworthy - heavy, strong and the adhesive is AMAZINGly sticky. If you're used to Grace Vycor, you might actually be surprised. We didn't expect how aggressive the adhesive is. Great and worth the money, we spent about $200 on our deck.
