Review on 🧹 Camco RV Adjustable Broom and Dustpan: Telescoping Handle, Ideal for RV, Marine & Home Use (43623) by Jeff Westra

I wanted to keep this broom in an outside closet to make sidewalk sweeping easier. The telescopic handle is just the thing as the cabinet is 60cm wide and the broom is smaller when fully closed. It seems like the perfect solution to my dilemma. I couldn't be more wrong. The handle pops out as advertised, but as other reviewers before me have mentioned, it's impossible to lock the broom head in place. It flaps like a flag in the wind when you try to sweep the surface. Makes the broom practically useless. Even if you are very careful not to lift the broom head off the ground and hold the handle properly, you can sweep up with a few brush strokes. But that's a big limitation when trying to use a sidewalk broom. If there was a way to make the head of this product a lock it would be a 5 star product. But without the ability to do so, it renders the broom useless. I'm a little mad at myself for keeping it and giving money to the seller. I think there was a small part of me hoping that I was missing something or that it would become easier to use over time. This didn't happen and I'm left with a virtually useless product. I thought of permanently locking the broom head in the brushing position, but when I do that the overall length of the broom becomes too long to fit in my closet. . All in all there is no hope for this product unless I find a solution to snap the broom head when I want it and then fold it down when I want to make it smaller.
