These headlights are great. I use them for all sorts of situations. We mostly install them with 1/2" pancake boxes. If you use them want to use where you connect them together you will need deeper boxes to house the extra cables.They are very light so a medium sized kitchen might have 4 or 5 of these.We put one in each powder room or pantry and two of these into the bathroom down the hall.They don't heat up the house and are great when you need good task lighting.They're so thin they look a bit like flush-mounting boxes without the need for a bulky enclosure in the ceiling.One the advantages is that you don't have to figure out where your ceiling rafters are to repeat the installation.Half-inch pancake boxes can en placed directly on the ceiling joists. There are also more expensive models with adjustable heat. They do not have this additional function. But you just order the light with the heat you need at the beginning and then it doesn't matter. I use them over and over again in almost all of our makeovers.
