Advice on installing these lamps.

This lamp look simply amazing once installed. The only issue is installing them. It's not easy and unless you are a decently skilled do-it-yourself type, you should pay to have this installed. It may take more than a few hrs., easily 4-8 hrs. The results are stunning. The install is the challenging part hence the 4 stars, otherwise, based on looks alone this is a solid 5 star lamp. The hardest part is attaching the base. There is no guidance on how to do this. And having someone holding the base while you mark the drill holes is a feat that requires muscles. My advise is this. Buy a poster board, like the one you buy for kids school projects that is as big as the lamp base you will be attaching to the ceiling. Cut it to the same size of the base AND number the sides. As in side A, B, C,. do the same with the base. The holes are not in the same exact location on each side so they will not match if you don’t do this ! Also mark the base outline and cut the poster board to be the same size as the base. Why will you this? Because by doing this you will be able to position the base and align it correctly. You don’t want the base to look crooked, off center. Now with a markers, mark the hole locations on the poster board. Now that the poster board resembles the base, tape the poster board in the ceiling location you will be placing the lamp. Make sure is well positioned, and drill holes trough the holes marked in the poster posted board. Remove the poster board from the ceiling. Put the anchors. (I got stronger ones by the way. The ones provided did not looked good enough to hold this heavy lamp). At this point connect the electrical while someone is holding and put the base on the ceiling. MATCH the sides! Attach the corners first. They should more or less be aligned. Put one lamp and test. If ok, install the lamp cover, put all the lights. By the way you should use LEDs! And follow the rest of the instructions. The results are amazing. Now there are some nice resources in YouTube that you should look at when installing this type of lamp or even on trying to get an idea on how the install work will be. Just go to YouTube and search for "Installing Crystal Chandeliers" you could try adding "Saint Mossi" in the search. These movies will give you a very good idea on how these type of lamps are installed and the complexity that its involved. It’s not easy to install!
