I needed a stand finder to help me install a 43 inch wall mounted TV. On the wall, I carefully read reviews of similar products (some of them were for cheaper seekers). This product, which I chose based on all the positive reviews, (definitely!) worked straight away and gave me a clear idea of stud placement. It works by finding and attaching stud nails behind a drywall. (It stays attached to the wall!). And let me tell you, there was absolutely no mistaking where the bobby pins were! I checked by moving the viewfinder about 16 inches left and right and the viewfinder checked the lugs both ways. So I was very sure of their position before drilling the mounting holes for the TV. My TV was relatively light, but I'm sure it would have helped me to install a larger or heavier TV if I wanted to. As I said, it worked great and I can only recommend it!
