My parrots came from a pet store where they were fed all seeds. After some research I found that this is not ideal and the seeds should be used with caution to avoid the fat lover's disease. I ordered these pellets for her as a healthier daily option. I was worried they wouldn't eat the pellets as they are used to the seeds but they loved them straight away. I was able to eliminate seeds completely from my daily diet without any problems. Now they only enjoy the seeds as a special treat. Another great feature of granules is the lack of clutter. My birds were big seed hoppers and the space around their cage was always covered with seeds. They don't do this with pellets so it's a lot neater. I bought both vegetables and fruit and mixed them together. I haven't noticed that they prefer one kind to the other and eat everything.
