I have gained the trust of several stray cats who love to come onto my patio and visit my pet cats through the screen door. They accepted headscreens so it seemed easy to microchip them and I ordered that. However, the squeaking that was too loud put off every one of them and now they all seem scared of me again. There's no way to turn off the beeps, which is a major drawback when you're trying to scan animals that you don't own. I unscrewed the back and ripped the buzzer off the circuit board. Now it works perfectly and quietly, but I didn't have to technically break it to make it this way.
