Our pressure switch was on its last legs as the contacts were horribly corroded and kept kinking between contacts. I found this update here, it's a lot cheaper than the HD, and with Prime it was there in less than two days. Installation was easy, just make sure to press the switch to turn off the device. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to take a picture of the old switch as is before disconnecting any wires. Disconnect the wires, install the switch, and reconnect the wires in reverse order. If you need a little more pressure, you can readjust the set screws (instructions for this are included). As for the switches, my house was built in 1987 and the switch looked original. The old and new switches looked the same, but you could tell that the old switch had been made a little more powerful and looked better. The new switch works just as well as the old one. (FYI. Since you're removing the switch, you'd better replace the nipple and gauge while you're at it. Since these items can become clogged with sediment over time if the well water is dirty.)
