They are just not comfortable to use and for a small bird you should be aware that they are very large. I would buy them again if I really needed a bigger plate. But I'd try to find something with solid hangers first so I don't have to chase them around in circles to fit them between the bars. UPDATE: The price was ok but they were too hard to put in when we changed the food and the black we cover the cage with often caught on the hook and knocked it over, knocking the bird over and spilling the lining.
