My tail light had a big hole and crack in it. I bought it as a temporary solution to keep moisture out. It's winter and cold here. After reading reviews of the curling iron when applied to a curve, I was concerned because this light has a slight curve. First I wiped the headlight with alcohol. Then use a hair dryer to heat the area and the red spot. Then I applied the patch. I ran my thumb around the edges and continued to heat it with a hair dryer. This was very helpful as it was only 30 feet outside. I heated the patch and pressed it down to activate all the glue. A month later it's still intact around the curve of my taillight.
