Given the low cost, this roof container is honestly great. It's a little cumbersome to set up the first time, but two of us working together managed it easily enough, and the thing that makes it challenging is that the strap hardware is difficult to adjust - which is all to the good, because it won't slide around while you're driving down the freeway, either. The package did come with an instruction sheet (contrary to older reviews) that clearly explains how to attach the straps to your roof-rack. We didn't encounter any rain, so can't evaluate water-proofing. The material seems quite sturdy, and I think with some care, it will last for many camping trips. You can fit quite a lot of stuff in it, and the compression straps let you adjust the container to fit its load. It's got sturdy velcro that shuts over the zipper, to help with waterproofing and durability. It has zero security (it's literally a large sturdy bag shut with zippers), so we didn't leave it on top of the car overnight when we were in town. Altogether we are very pleased with it.
