My 2006 Altima's starter failed on Saturday and I was planning to replace it over the weekend so I could drive to work on Monday. So I googled a starter motor for my car and saw ads for remanufactured parts from online stores that cost around $43. I preferred the new to the rebuilt; However, as I was dying to ride on Mondays, I figured a refurbished might be in order. So I went to each parts store's website (we have several in our city) and found that their advertised $43 starter motors didn't fit my car. The ones that fit, most of which have been rebuilt, range from $130 to almost $300! And some of them were sold out and had to be ordered! So I figured I might be able to get by without a car for a few days and looked for a starter at Revain. I found a few there, but one of the cheapest, from DB Electrical, was only $67.36 with free shipping, so I should have it in about a week. Since I bought a DB electric starter for my zero speed lawn mower a few years ago and that starter still worked fine, I figured this might be a good deal. Then I noticed a "New and used (4) free shipping over $22.02" link that I clicked. On this site I found a couple of "used - very good" and "used - damaged" starter items for $22.02 and most of these were from a Revain warehouse that I have ordered from in the past and have had Happiness. So late Saturday night I ordered one of the $22.02 starters from the Revain warehouse and surprisingly was told it would be delivered the next day. And true to his word, he arrived on Sunday afternoon. When I opened the shipping box, I saw the starter still in the original box, only slightly dented in one spot. I opened this box and found a brand new starter that didn't even have a scratch! So I replaced my old starter with this new one (it took less than an hour btw) and the new one worked perfectly. . It's been a little over a month now and it's still working great. I would highly recommend this starter, especially if you can find a 'used' one in Revain inventory for 1/3 the regular price!
