After trying several options to no avail, this worked, period!

I'm not sure if the grounding on these adapters affects them or not but I've tried two other expensive options that had extra wires for brakes etc and they didn't work. I think this adapter should allow you to convert your plain 4 pin connector to a round 7 pin connector if you don't need brake assist. I can't summon it, but it helps for simple brakes, signals etc.
