Review on 🔍 Enhanced KOLSOL F02 Cable Locator and Wire Tracer with Earphone and Cable Tester for Dog Fence, Irrigation Control, and Underground Cables by Kip Ruach

Based on other feedback I wasn't sure if this would work to find a break in the external power line (Romex) to my lamp post. Fracture found in 10 minutes! Here's what I did. 1.) I found a video that was somewhat helpful (Video ID: 8-gZBwDp6pc) 2 :) Connect the red emitter clip to the black (hot) wire on the lamp post and the black emitter clip to the neutral wire on the lamp post. (I don't think it really matters which wire you connect it to. I knew I had a break in the line and I completely disconnected the wire to the light pole. There was basically a wire in the ground that also was not connected with what.) 3.) I turned on the transmitter to scan the cable. 4.) I turned on the locator and turned up the volume. 5.) I let the tracer hang a few inches off the ground. I could follow the path by listening to the sound. (If there is no sound, you are too far from the wire) 6.) When I got to the pause, there was a lot of noise, and then the sound disappeared (when I was too far from the pause). 7.) I dug a hole where the static electricity started and immediately found a break. I asked an electrician to replace the line for over $1,000 (he didn't fix the break). I paid $40 for this unit and $26 at the hardware store for cords, waterproof connectors, tape, etc. My lamp post is working again!
