Great item. It has a soft rubber "mouth" that grips my 5 inch GPS. It's heavy enough and has enough grip on the bottom to stay on the dashboard during normal driving. My Behemoth will move only slightly during my more "enthusiastic" ride. If it works for me, the hippo will surely work for you. The only (tiny) downside is the hippo's weight (1.4 lbs) if you want to take it in your luggage. However, despite the weight, I take my Behemoth with me everywhere. I would recommend packing it in your carry-on - it can be stolen from your checked baggage. This is ideal for use in a rental car - just remember to bring your GPS!
