Review on 🚀 K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Boost Horsepower with High Performance: Perfect Fit for 2003-2011 MAZDA (RX-8) 69-6030-1TFK by Paul Williams

After much deliberation I ordered a K&N Typhoon Air Intake for my 2005 RX8. I chose this one because of the ease of installation and the sound profile. I found the installation a bit tedious, but my biggest problem was getting the stock airbox out. When I finally got everything assembled and installed I have to say I LOVE the deeper, grittier sound it gives the car! It's fairly loud at WOT or even when just cruising at 60% or more, but it's also quieter at factory levels when just cruising around town. The only downside and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is me. We noticed a slight loss of torque at low revs. The powerband seems to have shifted a bit higher at revs, but that's not too bad. Overall I am very impressed and very happy with the great sound and performance of the Typhoon.
