I bought this to use with my Galaxy S10+. It allows me to connect a monitor and a USB keyboard and mouse or hard drive via a USB hub and USB-C power delivery. This makes it very easy to work on a full desktop from my phone. The idea is a bit strange and still a long way from replacing the desktop, but it shows that we are moving in this direction. Some of today's smartphones are as powerful as some desktops or laptops.
