The problem with this lift is that if you have just opened your garage door you will have to wait at least a few minutes before using this device to close the door. It blinks randomly and until it stops it doesn't work! I suspect it has something to do with the timing and I don't know if that can be changed. Most of the time I find it frustrating having to open my car to close the garage door. UPDATE: Make sure you don't have an LED bulb in your garage door opener. Apparently this is a known issue that disrupts the elevator. As soon as we replaced the lightbulb with a regular one, the lift worked great!
